ABOUT ONLINE TRAINING

Verion Training Systems are now authorized to offer online certification courses for IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and IPC/WHMA-A-620. IPC has implemented a remote proctoring service to make this possible. Depending on the student’s situation and circumstance, the courses can be completed from work or home. CIT, CIS and CSE training is currently available.

Through the use of the “Microsoft Teams” platform we can ensure students will be able to watch and hear the training presentation. Students will be able to ask questions and interact with the MIT conducting the class. However, students will take the exam entirely by themselves while being monitored by IPC's remote proctoring service which consists of AI (Artificial Intelligence) applications, a professional human proctor, and audio and video recordings. This is to ensure the students are taking the exam properly and adhering to the IPC Policies & Procedures.

In order to successfully complete the online training, the student will be responsible for obtaining the necessary standard/manual needed for their respective course. It will also require the downloading and installation of a special browser known as the “Lockdown Browser” from the Edge 2.0 website that will only be used for the exam taking process. It will be necessary for the student to have Administrative rights on the computer being used so that the downloading process can be as streamlined as possible. If not, please make sure the appropriate IT personnel are present to assist with the one-time initial set up.

During the exam process please be aware that the Lockdown Browser works in conjunction with the proctoring service. When the browser application loads up, all other applications on the computer will be shut down and become inaccessible (including access to the trainer) until the Lockdown Browser is shut down. This is a requirement and no exceptions can be made.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A laptop or desktop computer with internet access

  • Audio & Video capabilities

  • Obtain a current hardcopy of the standard (Prior to class start date!)

  • A current Microsoft account.

About J-STD-001 and IPC-7711/7721

Verion Training Systems will not be offering these courses online. The proctoring of the workmanship cannot be done remotely because it requires a certified CIT or MIT to be physically present for that portion of the course to be properly completed. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

ABOUT NIGHT TRAINING

Verion Training Systems is making night time certification training available for all the courses that we offer.

We feel this would be helpful for companies who really can’t afford to give their employees the necessary time off to attend day time training courses due to the vital nature of their presence needed on a project.

It would also be helpful to independent students seeking certification who cannot get away from day time responsibilities.

Hours will be limited and class time will only be offered for 4 hours a night (6pm - 10pm). As this is the only availability we can offer, courses will take longer to complete. As an example, a regular day time J-STD-001 course can be completed in a week (5 business days). The same course on a night time schedule may take 10 business days or less to complete.

Current standard course fees will apply.
