Gold Solder Training
Verion Training offers five standard modules and two Rework Modules. This hands-on course is designed for those who have a previous soldering experience and require an in-depth review of Gold and HMP soldering fundamentals, proper soldering methods, equipment care, ESD, safety and general requirement for soldering electronic assemblies.
There are many situations in electronics manufacturing where it is necessary to use high melting point solder. Gold soldering requires soldering temperatures to be higher than normal SN/PB or even standard lead-free temperatures. This requires a much greater need for precise work by the operators. This course covers the need for greater attention to soldering times, temperature and equipment care, required to ensure acceptable solder connections.
Students will learn the differences from standard soldering and why they are critical to the soldering process. During the hands-on portion the students will learn to put into practice what they learned in the classroom. Each student will gain the knowledge necessary to ensure quality skills and the latest acceptable workmanship requirements for all classes of products for soldering and reworking connections.
