The IPC-7711/7721 Rework/ Repair modifications program is a (5) day advanced course which covers rework and repair techniques. This course provides participants with a hands-on approach to the restoration of electronics assemblies, replacing electronic components, and repairing circuitry with minimum impact on quality and reliability.
Successfully pass the instructor’s written exam with a score of 80% or better and perform at a Class (3) Acceptable level for the Solder practical exam. This CIT program teaches industry-approved techniques on through hole and surface mount rework, land, conductor and laminate repair.
Prerequisite/ Who Should Become Certified
Candidates should have soldering/electronics assembly experience, and should possess adequate soldering ability. Anyone responsible for the quality and reliability of reworked or repaired electronic assemblies should become certified-including trainers, quality supervisors, engineers and manufacturing supervisors with assembly responsibilities.
