IPC J-STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
A comprehensive, knowledge and skills-based series this course certifies students to the methods and procedures presented in the J-STD-001 document. Designed for operators, the series helps workers interpret the J-STD-001 specification through lecture, demonstration and labs. The program consists of 5 modules, each covering a different technology or area of soldered electronic assemblies. Students can be trained and certified in any combination of modules but must include module 1. For each module, certification requires a 70% or better grade.
- Module 1 J-STD-001 General Requirements (Mandatory)
- Module 2 Wires and Terminals
- Module 3 Through Hole Technology
- Module 4 Surface Mount Technology
- Module 5 Inspection Methodology
Course Length: 1 day per Module Certifications are valid for 24 months.
